PRESCOTT
[ country-folk ]
Between mountains and the valley by Yavapai Nation
Mile high fresh pine trees reach toward blue sky
At Whiskey Row town square, you’ll find the best friends there
Children playin’ by the fountain on a lazy afternoon
LA, Chicago, Fort Worth and Nashville
And no matter how far I feel a need to roam
One too many miles from Prescott, Arizona
Is one too many miles away from home
If one day by chance I reach that golden city
Where angels are gathered ‘round the great throne
Singin’ one too many miles from Prescott, Arizona
My soul will rest easy at long last evermore
Though I sail seven oceans, climb every mountain
Ride a great starship far past the moon
One too many miles from Prescott, Arizona
Is one too many miles away from home
Yeah, one too many miles from Prescott, Arizona
Is one too many miles away from home
One too many miles away from home
