QUEEN OF THE MOUNTAINS

Queen from the land of Shinar
     A Wall Street devil’s daughter
She fills your bag with tokens for the Wal-Mart super store
     Between history’s wisdom bookends
     She doles out stolen dividends
     You know you’d better leave
But you keep comin’ back for more

     Mystery, mystery
It’s a wonder to behold her
     History, history
Soon will be her new world order

     Sittin' on many polluted waters
She leads blind sheep to the slaughter
Great whore of corporate media and the WTO
Beneath layers of painted sex appeal
She spins the Vegas fortune wheel
     Her tower keeps on rising
     From the fires down below

     Well, mystery, mystery
It’s a wonder to behold her
     History, history
Soon will be her new world order

     Astride her blood-drenched war machine
She keeps her squeaky image clean
Sings of love and peace but she’d rather go to war
You’ll find her cryin’ by the chapel
     Hockin' forbidden apples
She knows her time is short
She’s long been rotten to the core

     Yeah, mystery, mystery
It’s a wonder to behold her
     History, history
Soon will be her new world order
     Singing, mystery, mystery
It’s a wonder to behold her
     History, history
Soon will be her new world order *
